Transition California

• Local Self-Reliance for a Post-Petroleum World •

I just rented this film--"A Beautiful Truth." It was about a teenage guy in Alaska being home-schooled who decides to research cancer cures for a school project. His dad ends up taking him all over the country to interview doctors, former cancer patients, food engineers, and dentists. It was inspiring to see a young adult doing so much good research. The content was sometimes depressing and sometimes inspiring. With the current debate on whether the swine flu vaccine will be mandatory, I think this film is definitely worth seeing.
