I would like to see a better bicycle network in the Bay Area.

SF to East Bay: The new bay bridge should have a bike lane from SF to east bay (not just to Treasure island)
SF to San Jose: There should be a safe bike trail from SF to San Jose without having to enter onto 280 or busy streets near the bay. There are many commuters who would like to use that, but right now the route is not safe.

Does anyone know of efforts that are underway for this? Are there other areas that should be better connected?

I cannot make any more requests for friends, would you be able to send a request to me?
As I live on a West Coast I want to expand my connections on your West Coast.
I was wondering if you were attending this event in California next month?

Although I am based here in Perth there are a number of Californians I am now in contact with.
It is good that people of like spirit and mind get together away from keyboards and meet face to face, that is one of the main benefits of events like this.
What do you think?
The reason I ask is that I am part of a team that is organizing a Global Sustainability Gathering based on the inherent principle of the Burning Man Festival.
