Comment by Linda Seeley on August 20, 2009 at 11:27am - Hi Dawn, Do you have Gaia's Garden? Great book by Toby Hemenway, and it really helps you figure out what to do. Go by my house at 217 Westmont in SLO and check out what Jordan and a work crew did in my front yard. (apologies for the overgrowth......) But it's a good example of what can be done in SLO.

- HI, I've just joined your group. I have a small backyard and frontyard I'm interested in changing it into an edible, native oasis. I have two little daughters who would love to help me however I'm new to gardening and landscaping. If anyone would like to make any suggestions on where I should begin, on websites, books, resources, people etc. I'd appreciate it. Thank you. Dawn
