I sense that you are connected to a lot of people and organisations.
Am I correct in this assumption.
If that be the case, then what i am involved with, will be of great interest to many of them.
A sot of intution guided me to contact you, having only just discovered Transition California.
I live on a West Coast too !

I would like to let you know of an interesting event now being planned as follows ...

At this critical time in our planetary history of climate change, do we now need a global face to face gathering?
I believe we do, but not like the 6,000 people that the UN invited to Nairobi in 2006.

For some years now we have been convinced of the great virtue and benefits of face to face networking gatherings, ask any one who has been to a Burning Man Festival!

Internet social networking sites are a great way to meet new people, yes, but do we then need to take our communications to the next level, away from the keyboard, eye to eye, face to face?

Question: which authors, visionaries, bloggers, pioneers, community leaders, site administrators, NGO founders, friends and just plain positive people, that you got to know of through the net - would you personally like to hear or meet in person?

You won’t be in a conference hotel, but at a Burning Man styled event where we take over a whole town - with their warm consent. When we are there, we become the majority, the “norm”, and the small town is transformed forever with the knowledge, wisdom, passion, information and humor that we take there.

This has never been done before, so that’s the very reason we are doing it.

I also seek your site friendship.
