Profile Information

How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?
I work in high tech communications. My current niche is CamPuterGeek (aka Digital Imaging Technician). I help directors of photography make the most of the digital cinema cameras they use. My goal in relation to Transition is to help it happen as quickly and painlessly as possible. To this end I'm choosing to work on projects that help communicate with the public about themes required. My most ambitious project at the moment involves helping produce LEGACY for the screen. Probably as series of webisodes initially.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I grew up on an organic family farm so my roots are in the dirt and compost. I still do composting even though I live in a tall apartment building . . . keeping the cycles whole with the earth is part of my spiritual connection. I try to keep my ecological footprint personally and for my business as small as possible.
I use public transit and a bicycle whenever possible, including in LA.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Decades of educating, organizing, consulting, training, etc. in various grass roots movements for social change. Personal and High tech communication skills - including audio-visual support for conferences.
What aspects of the Transition Town movement most interests you?
Showing people how they can be involved
