I don't know if this is the right place to write this, anyway, I'm eager to hear what the farmers have to say. We have PTSD here and the bullet holes that go with it so watch out for that. There have been so many aggressions on this place that our trust levels are very low so don't take things personally. One of the many cons perpetrated on us was to "help" with the gardening. It led to a lot of nightmarish situations right out of horror movies. Our lives were threatened so many times that it no longer seemed noteworthy when it happened.
Glad to hear that you are bringing something. Those yogurt fruit salads are great. I almost hijacked the last one you made and thought about sneaking it into some remote part of the property where I could have it all to myself. I don't have time to make anything, maybe I'll bring some kind of fruit.
The bike-rack-appreciation letter is a great idea. Florence is awesome at writing these kinds of things. She got five people out of prison writing letters. One of them was a young Bosnian in INS prison in Kansas City who would probably still be there if it wasn’t for her. Anyway, it would be good to come from somebody "outside" of Humanist Hall and then put in a plug for HH. Maybe Florence could write an independent letter if she is willing. The city has done a lot of rotten things to us but it's good to take the high road and be open to good behavior. One thing that excites me about the new economy is the death of the fascistic old one. (Though if I die of hunger or untreated disease, it might not be too fun). Anyway, I looked around a bit for these racks and saw more in front of the Mama Buzz coffee house on Telegraph and at the Rock, Paper, Sizzers art collective very near to Mama Buzz. It was almost like the transition community was finally starting to have a presence at city hall. It was like the city people finally figured out that they weren’t going to be able to retail or develop their way to prosperity anymore. Too good to be true.
Nobody seems to be interested in cooking here so I'll plan on opening the hall around 6pm on Weds.

Yes 6 - 9 should work well. Thanks!
Well, thanks for your appreciation -- even though my hospitality last night wasn't much. I was so exhausted from my work day that I had no energy left to socialize with when the evening came around. I hope to do better next week.

I wrote you the message below some time ago but I wrote it on my own wall instead of yours! I simply don't know what I'm doing on this website; it's over my head! Here's my message of last week:
Hi Judith,
I'm glad you found your gloves! And of course I'm glad you had a good experience at Humanist Hall! Let's do it again! I hope I'll be seeing you again on Wednesday the 11th. If you have other plans that day, there's always the next Wednesday, the 18th! We're going to start with a potluck next time. A "solar church" -- that's a nice expression. I thought about calling this place the "Live Oak Revival" too and "First Church Gaia."
Thanks for writing me!
