Profile Information

How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?
Have procured over an acre of agricultural land in SLO for establishment of a community garden. This means no city intervention or permits will be required. Very turn-key process. Lets get growing...email me at comm.garden@live.com or call (805) 710-4370
In what ways do you personally identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I rode the housing market and feel sometimes like I am living on dirty money. So maybe I'm looking to turn that money clean by investing in a sustainable way of living.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
community organizer, gardner, landscape, drip systems, ability to communicate well, growing network of resources, am involved with www.centralcoastunitedforchange.org a grassroots movement with members interested in what is going on here. There will be people from our group joining this one and vice-versa. Building the collective energy.
What aspects of the Transition Town movement most interests you?
By being present, available and staying in the moment as much as possible...
Your Favorite Books/Websites/Blogs/RSS Feeds for Information about the Transition Movement
spiritual in nature yet pragmatic, surf the net a lot, catching snippets of info here and there and everywhere, short attention span at times...just too much info that is interesting currently reading about organizing people and ways to get people motivated to action...

Hi Matt,
We are living and gardening on an acre in east AG with citrus, garden, work and kitties. We have found it useful to set up trades with folks up the grade - apples for oranges.

Best of luck to you!
Alice
