How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?: For the past two years I have worked for a non-profit video project documenting people around the world who understand our interconnectedness and interdependence with each other and with nature, and who bring this understanding into their work. This library of short films and interviews includes indigenous elders, social and environmental activists, scientists, artists, and spiritual teachers. Most recently I organized a series of events using these films to draw together organizations and individuals representing diverse interests and generated conversations focused on themes of our common concerns/interests.

Currently I am no longer working for this project but am interested in creating more of these types of gatherings.

In what ways do you personally identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: Transition has the potential to engage community in an authentic way. I think it is key to draw out the true inspiration that individuals are feeling right now and to discover how people want to work together. I'm exited about all of the initiatives and resources that already exist that could fall under the umbrella of Transition, and I'm excited to learn from people in my region. But I am also watchful of individuals using Transition as a way to enlist volunteers into their work. I am interested in discovery, connection with the people around me, and an opportunity to serve.
