How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?
Current work is in the public sector and have the skills to secure grants for projects that support livable community initiatives focusing on transportation, open space, and conservation easements.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
My simple mind understands the transition movement to be focused on bringing community together in was that are self sustaining locally, regionally, and offers healthy opportunities for personal growth.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Currently a self proclaimed CIO - "chief idea officer". My personal life is in "transition" and in time ideas will evolve to action - my philosophy is to evolve to a level that is recognized as "love in action". I can build and turn a compost pile!!
What aspects of the Transition Town movement most interests you?
Initially, transportation and alternative energy. Edible landscapes, community garden projects for the elderly is an immediate passion and interest of mine. Love in Action that brings community together to support those that have paved the way before us. welcome and thanks for joining... sounds great.

<<Construct small edible landscapes and gardens for the elderly to have access to healthy food and a rewording hobby.>> I know someone in SLO who is also working on this. She (Courtney) tried for a grant but was unsuccessful; perhaps with your grant connections you can help each other out.

This is what she wrote in her profile:

<<The mission of SLO Food will address socio-economic issues in California agriculture by providing outreach and education as well as delivering healthy, affordable, locally grown food to the under-served populations in San Luis Obispo county.>>

Please check her out at:

She is also an ad rep for edibleSLO.

Fantastic!!!
