How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm interesting in networking with people interested in sustainability issues and permaculture. I'm a 7th grade biology teacher. I have a greenhouse attached to my classroom and I'm looking for ways to incorporate sustainability into my curriculum.
My big passion is wildlife conservation (critically endangered mountain gorillas in the DR Congo, Central Africa) and deforestation of their habitat due to the illegal charcoal trade. I volunteer work with Working Villages International which is developing a sustainable village in the Ruzizi Valley of Eastern Congo. Check out their websites: www.workingvillages.org and www.greenselfreliance.org. Thanks!

Hello Pamme:

Sorry it's been so long responding but there has been lots to do as I teach culinary arts and finals, etc just finished.

You have quite a site here and teaching biology with a greenhouse is wonderful.

I support your ideas about wildlife and permaculture 100% and practice it in my own way by introducing my students who are interested in cooking to where the foods we use come from and the differences in what may look similar.

Hope to talk soon,

Don Warriner

Bless and Bliss you many times over for the work you do and interest we share! I too hope to go to the Raw food fest at the Live Oak camp grounds...
might not make it because of a very special birthday party!

I am a docent for the San Luis Obispo Botanical garden and would love for you to check out some of our offerings for you or your students.
I would love to connect with you on the path towards and for sustainability, partnership, and of course transitions for our selves and our towns.

I'm glad you like the video, Pamme! We love making it!

I may try to make the N'Credible Edibles workshop Saturday, but I also am selling veggies at the SLO Farmer's market until 11am or so when I get back to our farm in Los Osos--Off Clark Valley Road
You website interested me...the working villages site--as one of our favorite interns we've had here at the farm, worked for 2+ years in Malewe, Africa with the Peace Corps and actually purchased land there with several of the inhabitants of the village he worked in. What is your experience in Africa with this working villages group?
